Sand&nbsp;<strong>dikes<\/strong>&nbsp;have been erected (rue du Bord-de-l&#8217;Eau and on the earth bridge, rue Baume) to prevent an overflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Red Bridge is closed<\/strong>&nbsp;until further notice. The&nbsp;<strong>White Bridge<\/strong>&nbsp;remains under surveillance and restrictions may apply if the level rises. In the event of a closure, the&nbsp;<strong>Terry Fox Bridge<\/strong>&nbsp;will be the alternative. Coordination is in place with Mansfield to always maintain emergency services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the most recent data, the&nbsp;<strong>Ottawa River<\/strong>&nbsp;could reach levels causing&nbsp;<strong>average flooding<\/strong>. The level is at&nbsp;<strong>108.52 m<\/strong>&nbsp;and could stabilize around&nbsp;<strong>108.7 m<\/strong>&nbsp;(estimate subject to variation). The flow of the&nbsp;<strong>Coulonge River<\/strong>&nbsp;reached&nbsp;<strong>700 m\u00b3\/s<\/strong>(nearly 10\u00d7 the average flow).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colder temperatures until Wednesday are expected to&nbsp;<strong>slow the melt<\/strong>.&nbsp;<strong>No rain is forecast<\/strong>&nbsp;this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We urge the public to exercise&nbsp;<strong>caution<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove objects that can be carried away by the water from the banks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing for a possible worsening of the situation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Closely supervise\u00a0<strong>children<\/strong>\u00a0near waterways and flooded areas<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We also ask for your cooperation in reducing the consumption of drinking water until the end of the flood, to keep the water treatment plant in good working order.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free sand<\/strong>&nbsp;(arena yard) to fill bags.
