Dear citizens,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state of emergency<\/strong> remains in effect until April 24, 2026<\/strong>. Our teams are mobilized 24 hours a day<\/strong> to protect the sectors at risk<\/strong> and limit the impacts<\/strong> of the flood. Sand dikes<\/strong> are in place on Rue du Bord-de-l’Eau<\/em> and at the dirt bridge (Baume Street) to reduce the risk of overflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pont Rouge: closed<\/strong> until further notice. The White Bridge<\/strong> is under constant surveillance<\/strong>; restrictions could be imposed by the MTQ quickly if the level rises. In case of closure, use the Terry Fox Bridge<\/strong> (detour route). We are coordinating with Mansfield to always keep emergency services available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forecasts indicate that the Ottawa River<\/strong> could reach a medium to major flood<\/strong> threshold. The level is currently 108.63 m<\/strong> and could stabilize around 108.75 m<\/strong>. The Coulonge River<\/strong> remains high, with a flow of about 700 m\u00b3\/s<\/strong> (nearly 10\u00d7 the average flow).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colder temperatures through Wednesday are expected to slow the melt<\/strong>. No rain is forecast<\/strong> this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediate instructions \u2014 citizens are asked to :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Remove any objects from the banks that can be washed away<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Be prepared for an aggravation (access, movement, equipment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Closely supervise\u00a0children<\/strong>\u00a0near waterways and flooded areas<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Free sand<\/strong>: Arena courtyard and at the Golden Age Club (bag filling). To obtain bags, please call 819-664-0301<\/strong>. Filling remains the responsibility of the citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    EMERGENCY \u2014 Reduce your drinking water consumption until the end of the week to keep the treatment plant in good working order.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Respect restricted traffic zones and on-site instructions. The S\u00fbret\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec will be present on the territory.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
