The situation has improved significantly. The<br>level of the Ottawa River has decreased by 8 cm over the past 24 hours while the Coulonge River has<br>decreased by 22 cm. Our teams remain available to protect areas at risk and limit the impacts of a<br>second flood associated with snowmelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Pont Rouge: closed until further notice.<\/strong> The risk of closure of the <strong>White Bridge<\/strong> is now unlikely. The <strong>sand<br>dikes<\/strong> will remain in place on Du <em>Bord-de-l&#8217;Eau Street<\/em> and at the Baume Street for the time being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Official forecasts indicate that the <strong>Ottawa River<\/strong> could reach an <strong>average flood threshold of 108.60 m.<\/strong><br>The level is currently <strong>108.54 m<\/strong> and slightly decreasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Temperatures will be seasonal for the next 7 days with cool nights. No precipitation in sight within a week<br>for the moment. These conditions should allow for gradual snowmelt and with less risk of a second<br>problematic rise in the level of the Ottawa River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We ask you to respect the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare for a possible second wave (access, movement, equipment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Closely supervise <strong>children<\/strong> near waterways and flooded areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The request to <strong>restrict your drinking water consumption is still in effect<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Centennial Park will remain closed, access to the Pump Track is possible by Romain street<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect restricted traffic zones. The SQ is present on the territory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A quick reminder that outdoor fires are only allowed if you have an outdoor fireplace that meets the standards in force.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Free sand: Arena courtyard and at the Golden Age Club (bag filling). To obtain bags, call <strong>819-664-0301.<\/strong><br>Filling remains the responsibility of the citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Thank you for your cooperation.
